Promoting Peace for Sustainable Development
GReVD Website
The Global Registry of Violent Deaths (GReVD) is a single catalog of every violent death coded by time and location. The project mission was born out of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 16, which commits to “significantly reduce all forms of violence and related death rates everywhere.”
If rates of violence and death are accurately recorded, then resources can be targeted at priority areas to reduce violence and death rates and improve quality of life. The design strategy for representing this challenging subject was to focus on the data and statistics of this project.
